Alice Queen executes earn-in and joint venture agreement with St Barbara

Advanced gold explorer Alice Queen (ASX: AQX) has announced its 84.5%-owned subsidiary, Kauraru Gold Pty Ltd, has entered into an earn-in and joint venture agreement with St Barbara Limited (ASX: SBM) for its Horn Island Gold Project, located in the Torres Strait in far-north Queensland. Under the terms of the deal, St Barbara has the right to earn a 70% interest in the Horn Island Project (other than identified Excluded Zones) by sole funding expenditure of $4 million within 3 years. Alice Queen will retain the right to continue pursuing exploration activities on Horn Island through to BFS in the Excluded Zones.

In-principle agreement reached with ATO: Northern Minerals

Australian heavy rare earths producer Northern Minerals (ASX: NTU) and the Australian Taxation Office have reached an in-principle agreement regarding the Company’s repayment of the $13.4 million owing in relation to its 2016-17 and 2017-18 R&D claims. Northern Minerals will make monthly repayments over the next 24 months; however, it will also be seeking an internal review of AusIndustry's decision in relation to R&D claims.

Zenith Minerals sells Mt Alexander Project

Zenith Minerals (ASX: ZNC) has accepted an offer to divest its wholly-owned Mt Alexander magnetite iron project in Western Australia to a private Australian company, Mt Alexander Iron Ore Pty Ltd.
Zenith will receive from MAIO an up-front cash payment of $250,000 as well as ten annual payments of $250,000 each (total $2.5 million) once the project has reached commercial production, for a total consideration of $2.75 million. The sale will free Zenith up to focus on development of its Split Rocks lithium project in WA.

NRW retains healthy order book for FY20

NRW Holdings (ASX: NWH) says that following Gascoyne Resources' collapse into administration it expects to receive about $35 million under its existing contract with the troubled miner, down from up to $145 million in FY19 as agreed prior. NRW has revised its order book to $1.1 billion of work secured for FY20.

St George Mining identifies extension targets at Mt Alexander

Emerging Western Australian nickel company St George Mining (ASX: SGQ) has announced that a number of new, high priority nickel-copper sulphide targets have been identified at the Mt Alexander Project, located near Leonora in the north-eastern Goldfields. The recent SAM survey has identified a large conductive feature, with an interpreted strike in excess of 300 metres, at the intersection of the Ida Fault and the Cathedrals Belt.

Great Western completes drilling at Yandal West

Great Western Exploration (ASX: GTE) has completed RC drilling at the Ives Find prospect within its Yandal West gold project. A total of 9 holes for 1,354 m were completed with all holes reaching the targeted zones. The deeper drilling designed to test for feeder areas under the shallow high-grade gold lodes intersected veining and alteration within the target zones. Drilling designed to test structural targets also intersected intervals of veining, alteration and faulting in most holes.

White Rock Minerals begins drilling at Red Mountain

Diversified explorer and near-stage producer, White Rock Minerals (ASX: WRM) has announced its 2019 exploration program is underway and drilling has commenced at the Company’s globally significant Red Mountain high-grade zinc and precious metals VMS project in central Alaska. There are already two high grade deposits at the Red Mountain Project, with an Inferred Mineral Resource1 of 9.1 million tonnes @ 12.9% ZnEq2 for 1.1 million tonnes of contained zinc equivalent.
