Robotic technology company FBR Limited (ASX: FBR) has advised that the next-generation Hadrian X® has completed the walls of a home in a single shift in the US Demonstration Program with CRH Ventures in Florida.
Wall construction for the seventh home in the Demonstration Program was completed before deploying to the site of the eighth build, which was completed in a single shift.
This marks the first time a home structure of this size has been built by the Hadrian X®, with only three personnel on site, in a single day in the US residential market.
Both the seventh and eighth homes were built for Florida-based Christopher Alan Homes.
Construction of the ninth home in the Demonstration Program is scheduled to commence this week.
“We are extremely pleased to have completed the walls of houses seven and eight of our Demonstration Program in such quick succession and, in particular, completing the walls of the eighth home in a single day, including the placement of lintels and bond beam blocks, with only three personnel on site,” managing director Mike Pivac said.
“This achievement highlights the potential of our technology and the beneficial impact that it can have on the construction industry.
“We look forward to commencing construction of the next home in the Demonstration Program this week.”
The Demonstration Program will be deemed complete when FBR completes construction of the walls of the seven homes for New Century USA and Christopher Alan Homes, plus up to three more homes added to the program by another builder to be nominated by CRH Ventures, with the walls of all structures to be certified by an independent structural engineer. Upon completion of the Demonstration Program, FBR will receive a payment of US$400,000 from CRH Ventures under the terms of the Demonstration Program agreement.
The completion of the Demonstration Program will mark the commencement of a 45-day period for CRH Ventures to exercise the option to form a joint venture for the delivery of Wall as a Service® in the US.
