Western Australian gold explorer Focus Minerals (ASX: FML) provides a response to the recent media comments on the potential sale of the Coolgardie Gold Project (Coolgardie) to Horizon Minerals Ltd (Horizon; ASX: HRZ).
Focus notes that on Page 32 of the West Australian dated 09 October 2019, the columnist speculates that “The Bull understands another cashed-up party has also shown some interest in the asset recently, and could be about to put in an offer.”
As part of the ongoing divestment process of Coolgardie, Focus is in the process of evaluating a number of unsolicited offers. All of the unsolicited offers which are currently under consideration are incomplete proposals, confidential in nature, and subject to negotiation.
Focus will continue to update the market as appropriate, consistent with its continuous disclosure obligations.
