Dakota Minerals - Lithium Industry Expert Professor Dudley J Kingsnorth Appointed as a Non-Executive Director
Dakota has further strengthened its Board with the appointment of Professor Dudley J Kingsnorth as a Non-Executive Director. He has 45 years’ experience in international mining and is recognised as a world authority on lithium and rare earths. Chairman John Fitzgerald said Kingsnorth added a vast breadth and depth of experience and expertise to the Board, with his unparalleled knowledge of the lithium sector likely to prove invaluable as the Company executes its European growth strategy.
Dakota Minerals Limited (“Dakota”, “DKO”, or “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Dudley J Kingsnorth to the Board of Dakota Minerals in the capacity of Non-Executive Director.
Professor Kingsnorth is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, in addition to being a Fellow and past VP of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), and a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals, and Mining (UK).
He has more than 45 years’ experience in the international mining industry, and is internationally recognised as a world authority on lithium and rare earths markets. Dudley is also the current leader of the Curtin Graduate School of Business’s Critical Materials Initiative.
Professor Kingsnorth’s research in this field has included editing several of Roskill’s reports on lithium and rare earths, while in 1988 he was recognised as the recipient of the CWAI Exporter of the Year Award for his contribution to the development of lithium exports.
He has an Honours Degree in metallurgy and a Masters Degree in industrial metallurgy with management studies. He is also an experienced director and has acted as Chairman, Managing Director, CEO, Director, Project Manager, and Marketing Manager, for various listed and unlisted Companies in the, lithium, rare earths, tantalum, gold, iron ore and aluminium sectors.
