Tribune releases quarterly report for three months to March

Tribune Resources (ASX: TBR) has provided its quarterly EKJV Exploration Report. The EKJV is located 25km west north west of Kalgoorlie and 47km north east of Coolgardie. The EKJV is between Rand (12.25%), Tribune (36.75%) and Northern Star Resources Ltd (51%). Exploration activity in the March 2019 quarter across the East Kundana Joint Venture consisted of in-mine exploration with underground drilling. Project work was completed on near-mine resource development targets, mostly Drake.

Sundance Resources releases March qtr report

Sundance Resources (ASX: SDL) spent the March quarter progressing its AustSino/noteholder agreement, which now has an end date of June 30. The company also received a $1.1 million investment from sophisticated investors during the reporting period, while it waits on the Cameroon government's decision on the Mbalam Convention reinstatement.

Core Lithium reveals Finniss DFS

Emerging Northern Territory lithium producer Core Lithium (ASX: CXO) has released the Definitive Feasibility Study for its Finniss Lithium Project, located near Darwin in the Northern Territory. The DFS confirms that Core is well positioned to be the next lithium producer in Australia, with a low-risk, open pit mining operation and DMS processing up to 180,000tpa of high-quality lithium concentrate with robust margins.

VRX Silica receives strong potential offtake interest

VRX Silica (ASX: VRX) has received strong interest for the purchase of significant tonnages of silica sand products from its two Arrowsmith Silica Sand Projects, located 270km north of Perth, WA, and its Muchea Silica Sand Project, 50km north of Perth. The Company has identified numerous markets in the Asia-Pacific region and met with a number of potential offtake customers for the sale of silica sand products from Arrowsmith and Muchea. The Company will be able to commit to binding offtake agreements following the approval of Mining Permits at its silica sand projects.

Northern Minerals appoints new director to board

Australian heavy rare earths producer Northern Minerals (ASX: NTU) has appointed Congyan Xue to its board as a non-executive director, effective immediately. Mr Xue is a corporate finance executive, with over 15 years’ experience in fundraising, corporate advisory and mergers and acquisitions, predominantly in China. Mr Xue is a Chinese citizen and resides in Beijing.

VRX Silica raises $2.3 million

VRX Silica Limited (ASX: VRX) has received commitments for a capital raising via a share placement to professional and sophisticated investors to raise approximately $2.26 million. The proceeds will be used to fund completion of feasibility studies and progress environmental approvals and mining lease applications at VRX's Arrowsmith and Muchea silica sand projects.

Northern Minerals receives $10m

Australian heavy rare earths producer Northern Minerals (ASX: NTU) has now received in full the first $10 million funds comprising Tranche 1 of its previously announced $20 million placement. The remaining funds for tranches 2 and 3 (comprising $5 million each) are due by April 30 and May 31 respectively.

Large shareholders throw their weight behind Alta Zinc capital raising

Alta Zinc's (ASX: AZI) largest shareholders have thrown their support behind the emerging zinc producer's non-renounceable rights issue, which is designed to raise up to $4.4 million. Shareholders associated with the Victor Smorgon Group and Alta directors Alex Burns and Marcello Cardaci will contribute a combined $1.15 million by taking up their entitlements in the four-for-five issue, priced at 0.4c per share. Alta will use proceeds from the rights issue to start exploration and resource drilling at its flagship Gorno zinc project in northern Italy.
