Global Lithium Resources Limited (“ASX: GL1”, “Global Lithium” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that the Native Vegetation Clearing Permit (NVCP) for its Manna Lithium Project has been approved and has taken effect, with no appeals received during the statutory appeal period.
In addition, the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) has confirmed technical support for the grant of the Manna Groundwater Licence (GWL), with the supported entitlement fully covering the water requirements of the current Manna operating plan and additional groundwater resource capacity retained for future project expansion.
The approval of the NVCP follows closely on the back of the Mining Development and Closure Proposal (MDCP) approval announced on 4 August 20261 for the Manna Project, located 110km east of Kalgoorlie.
Together with the MDCP, the NVCP (being Purpose Permit CPS 11464/1) granted by the Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration (DMPE), and the GWL supported by DWER, complete the primary State approvals needed to begin early works at site.
The NVCP authorises clearing of up to 875 hectares across Mining Lease 28/414 and Miscellaneous Licences 28/86, 28/97 and 28/98 for a five-year term to 19 August 2031.
The remaining Works Approval is well progressed with DWER and is expected before the end of the September 2026 quarter, completing the primary State approvals runway for the Manna Project.
GL1 Managing Director Dr Dianmin Chen said the back-to-back delivery of the MDCP, NVCP and GWL was a standout result for Manna and reflected strong engagement from the State’s regulators.
“Three major approvals in a fortnight is a credit to the professionalism of DMPE and DWER and to the depth of our own team’s technical work. Manna is now cleared on the ground, cleared to take water, and ready to move into construction.”
“These approvals pave the way for starting early works and then mining operations at Manna, which will generate jobs, boost economic activity in the region, and benefit all stakeholders including our local communities for many years to come.”
The approval of the NVCP was granted in-line with internal timelines and supports the integrated Manna-Nova strategy, helping to inform a Final Investment Decision targeted for the December Quarter 2026 and the fast-tracked schedule towards first direct shipping ore in Q2 2027, followed by first SC5.5 spodumene concentrate production planned for mid-2027.
