Focus Minerals Limited (ASX: FML) has released its September Quarter Activities report to highlight a busy three-month period at its Coolgardie and Laverton gold projects in Western Australia.
At Coolgardie, the core focus during the quarter was on expanding the high-potential CNX gold deposit, with confirmation subsequent to quarter-end of a 31% boost to the Mineral Resource including significant increases in total Measured + Indicated categories. In addition, fresh rock metallurgy test work at CNX has indicated very high gravity gold and leach recoveries. Work is underway to prepare a maiden Ore Reserve at CNX.
In the meantime, the company is making good progress on Coolgardie feasibility related works including heritage surveys, hydrogeology, geotech and metallurgy work.
At Laverton, the highlights included strong results from infill drilling at the Euro North prospect.
During the quarter, Focus spent $4.1 million on exploration.
