Australia’s newest quality gold producer Gold Road Resources (ASX: GOR) has joined other calendar year-end stocks by urging shareholders to participate in its upcoming annual meeting via live webcast and not in person.
Gold Road has set its AGM for May 28 and, in keeping with current corporate best practice because of the COVID-19 pandemic, has told shareholders it needs to adhere to social gathering and distancing edicts introduced by the State and Federal Government. The Perth gold producer, which owns half of the world-class Gruyere mine, wants shareholders to participate in the AGM by submitting questions in advance, proxy voting and/or signing in to the live webcast on 28 May.
The AGM will sign off on a milestone 2019 for Gold Road, headlined by first gold production from Gruyere last June. Gold Road said earlier this week that Gruyere had produced 59,595 ounces in the March quarter, at all-in sustaining costs of $1135/oz for Gold Road’s half-share of Gruyere’s output. During the quarter Gold Road sold 31,700oz for $2001/oz.
