Mid‐tier gold producer and exploration company Gold Road Resources (ASX: GOR) notes the speculation in the media about Gold Road being in potential discussions with IGO Limited with respect to the sale of its 30% interest in the Tropicana Project (Tropicana Interest).
Gold Road submitted a final offer for the Tropicana Interest at the end of March 2021 but not on the terms speculated. The final offer has since expired, and as at this time, no agreement has been subsequently reached. If there is any material development, Gold Road will inform the market.
As stated repeatedly in various investor updates, Gold Road will, from time to time, assess potential opportunities that align with its strategy. Any transaction must be both aligned with Gold Road’s strategy and offer value to shareholders.
