AVESS Energy – Australia’s next energy storage solution – is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Ken Brinsden as a Non-Executive Director effective 15 April 2024. Mr Brinsden brings with him more than three decades of C-suite and senior management experience across the mining sector, including prior roles with Pilbara Minerals, Atlas Iron, Iluka Resources and Goldfields.
AVESS Energy successfully raised $1m in a Series A Round 2 capital raise – underpinned by Mr Brinsden’s cornerstone investment – to progress the deployment of the Company’s 50kW/250KWh VRFB, and to boost local manufacturing and production capabilities.

Mr Brinsden is one of Australia’s most highly credentialed and experienced mining executives with a broad cross-section of roles across mine management, production, brownfields and greenfields development, and executive and Board memberships.
Mr Brinsden is the CEO of Canada-based exploration and development company, Patriot Battery Metals.
Commenting on the strengthening of the AVESS Energy board, AVESS Energy Managing Director Young Yu said:
