Mineral Resources Limited’s CSI Mining Services business has won the Operational Excellence award at Rio Tinto’s Supplier Recognition Awards event.
The category highlights businesses that go above and beyond to tackle obstacles, deliver results safely, enhance productivity and demonstrate industry leading practice and performance.
The award was recognition for safe, reliable and consistent delivery of key production tonnes for Rio Tinto’s Brockman and Tom Price iron ore mines in the Pilbara.
CSI’s relationship with Rio Tinto spans 17 years, starting at the West Angelas and Nammuldi operations in 2006.
CSI’s pit-to-port mining services offering is unique to the resources industry and spans construction, engineering, mining, crushing, processing, haulage and village services.
MinRes is one of Australia’s largest diversified resources companies, with operations in iron ore, energy, mining services and lithium, and almost 6000 staff across Western Australia.
“CSI is one of Rio Tinto’s largest site services providers and to deliver results in both safety and productivity, while growing the trust and relationship between the two businesses, is an extraordinary achievement,” MinRes managing director Chris Ellison said.
“This award is a significant acknowledgment of CSI as a partner of choice for Tier 1 clients and cements CSI’s position as the leading mining services provider in Western Australia.
“Mining services are at the heart of our business, so I am particularly proud of what CSI has achieved.
“Well done to everyone who works for CSI Mining Services for continuing to deliver outstanding results for our clients.”
