Northern Minerals (ASX: NTU) has capped off on what was a momentous three months for the company, having reached practical completion of its Browns Range heavy rare earth pilot plant project in the east Kimberley region of WA, and commenced production of heavy rare earth carbonate.
Practical Completion of the Browns Range Heavy Rare Earth Pilot Plant Project in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia was reached and production of heavy rare earth carbonate commenced, with the first shipment leaving the pilot plant in December.

In October, Northern Minerals became the only non-Chinese producer of dysprosium with the commissioning of the three-year Pilot Plant Project, aimed at evaluating the technical and economic feasibility of a full-scale operation at Browns Range.

On 27 December, the first Heavy Rare Earth Carbonate shipment from the Pilot Plant left site bound for customer in China.
