West Australian-focused gold exploration and development company Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) has appointed Robert Ryan as a non-executive director of the company.
Mr Ryan is a mining engineer with more than 20 years’ experience in the resource sector, including exploration, resource development, feasibility studies, project development, mining operations and corporate merger and acquisitions.
Mr Ryan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Engineering) from Curtin University’s School of Mines and a First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency. He has prior senior executive experience with Bardoc Gold, Norton Gold Fields, Barrick Gold, Goldfields – St Ives and Newmont Corporation.
Commenting on Mr Ryan’s board appointment, Rox chairman Stephen Dennis said:
“We are very excited to have Robert joining the board, bringing strong mining engineering capabilities at this stage in Rox’s development as we progress studies showing the pathway for a return to mining.
“These skills, coupled with Robert’s extensive mining experience with Western Australian gold producers, will further strengthen the Rox board.”
