The Company was advised that under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Act 1986, the EPA will assess the project as Assessment on Proponent Information (API) Category A.

Gold Road Executive Chairman, Mr Ian Murray, commented: “We welcome this decision by the EPA which demonstrates that the Gruyere Gold Project proposal is environmentally acceptable, and that Gold Road has appropriately and effectively consulted with the relevant stakeholders during the preparation of the Referral.
“Our Project Team is focussing on completing the necessary studies to demonstrate how the Gruyere Gold Project can be developed whilst mitigating potential impacts and meeting the EPA’s environmental objectives.
“I would also like to commend the Gold Road team for achieving this crucial decision in the month following the granting of the Mining Leases and concluding the Native Title Agreement.”
