NRW Holdings Limited (ASX:NWH) is pleased to announce that it has been issued with a Letter of Intent from Allkem Limited (ASX:AKE) for mining services works at the Mt Cattlin open-pit lithium mine, located north of Ravensthorpe in the Great Southern region of Western Australia.
The formal award of the contract is subject to finalisation of outstanding terms. The contract, with an estimated value of $332 million, is expected to last 36 months.
The works to be performed under the contract include load and haul, drill and blast and material rehandling. NRW will utilise an existing fleet of 200-250 tonne class excavators and 150 tonne class trucks, together with an ancillary plant. Mobilisation is underway in preparation for the on-site commencement in August.
Commenting on the contract award, NRW’s CEO, Jules Pemberton said:

The project will be supported by approximately 140 people, largely sourced from the surrounding area.
